If you thought that Indian girls are very homely and traditional then let me tell you one thing. You need to update yourself with new face of Indian society and Indian woman.
Women today doesn't care about any male geek who tries to suppress them from leading there life on their own terms.
India is known for its rich heritage of cultural and traditional values. Indian women are considered to be a symbol of it. Nowadays, women have realized their potential and have started using their liberty for the upliftment of the rest.

Earlier consequences

Sati – Women were supposed to surrender themselves to fire by sitting on their husband’s cremation platform. Even, if they wished to live, they had no choice.

Purdah system- Women used to cover themselves in front of any stranger or any man except their husband or son. It was rare that a woman interacted with any of the outsider.

Education- They were not supposed to study. At max women were allowed to pass there matriculation. This left them educationally backward with respect to various developments.

Marriage- Women at mere twelve years of age were married as they were considered to be mature enough to handle household stuffs. They were neither expected nor allowed to look for any other option except marriage.


Present Scenario

Education- Nowadays, women make sure that they fulfill minimum criteria of graduation.
They even have left men behind in field of education.
Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla are best examples of this fact.

Marriage- There is no limitation set or any hard & fast rule for them. The minimum age of getting married for a girl has come up to 18 years.

Women are globally considered to be a symbol of wisdom and motherhood. Indian women have shown the world there caliber.

Best live examples are our honorable president Mrs. Pratibha Patil. Not even does she prove to an enlightened person by her educational qualifications. She is also a symbol of elegance in true sense.



Sushmita Sen the crowned Ex-Miss Universe is a blended image of beauty with brains. She not only reflects as the perfect example of independent woman rather she also sets example as an independent mother. She reflects a modern image of motherhood as she proved that if women aren’t dependent on men anymore.




Thus, it is rightly said that if she wants she can create anything. But if she comes down to destruction she can finish everything. Women are the ones who give birth to the next generation and it is on them how they wish to mold them in future.
